EFSS NFTE Champion 2024
Being part of NFTE this year has been an incredible journey. It's been a mix of excitement and hard work, but totally worth it! Through NFTE, I've learned valuable entrepreneurial skills like budgeting, marketing, and creating business plans from viable sources of opportunities. These skills have not only boosted my confidence but also helped me think critically and use entrepreneurial skills to problem-solve better in school projects. NFTE has been a game-changer in shaping my approach to learning and preparing me for real-world challenges.

EFSS NFTE 1st Runner-up 2024
I think it was enjoyable to participate in the NFTE programme as it’s always interesting to do something new. Some of the entrepreneurial skills I’ve learnt include business and communication skills. I feel that NFTE can help a student uncover their talents and passion for business. Although initially I do not feel like I have the aptitude or diligent mindset towards the area of business, NFTE has enabled me to broaden my mindset and perspectives. I believe many of my schoolmates benefited through NFTE. Some of them may have even found a new purpose to study harder to get into business courses in the near future.

EFSS NFTE Champion 2022 & NFTE Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (NYEC) 2nd Runner-up 2022
When I was first introduced to NFTE in 2022 I felt overwhelmed as if I was not sure if I could do well in such a challenging programme as my interest level was pretty low early on. I never saw myself being able to create a good business idea as it had never occurred to look at challenges as business opportunities. However, after spending a few weeks in NFTE, I felt a sense of pride when I realised that I was able to discover an intrinsic spark which I never knew I had. I felt elated to emerge as Edgefield’s champion for NFTE which enabled me to represent my school in the nationals NYEC competition, in which I achieved the remarkable position of 2nd runner-up in Singapore!
A key personal take away from my NFTE journey was my growth in confidence when presenting and being spontaneous to questions. It has helped me sharpen my presentation skills to be able to effectively reach out to my audience with confidence. Overall, NFTE has helped me discover and realise my potential. I feel that I am a more determined and confident person thanks to the growth experienced in NFTE.

I felt that the NFTE programme was something fresh and different to me from my regular curriculum subjects. Through the entrepreneurial mindset learnt in NFTE, I was able to find my purpose in life, especially on how I can contribute to society by identifying sources of opportunities. I also experience significant growth in my confidence and public speaking skills. I felt that I was able to present effectively and with conviction. These presentation skills that were groomed during NFTE have helped me in my tertiary studies as there were alot of presentations to do.
