I joined the Parent Support Group because I wanted to be more involved in my child’s education and connect with other parents who share similar values and concerns. I saw the group as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, support school initiatives, and create a better environment for our children. Over time, as I became more active and engaged, I realised I had skills and ideas that could benefit the group, which led to my decision to become an Executive Committee (EXCO) member.
Since stepping into this role, I’ve genuinely enjoyed the volunteer work. Seeing the positive outcomes—like improved school events, stronger parent-teacher connections, and the happiness of the students— have been incredibly rewarding. Knowing that my efforts have helped make a positive difference motivates me to keep going, and it’s been a joy to work alongside other dedicated parents to create a supportive school community.
Together with great team members, I’ve had the opportunity to organise many PSG initiatives such as Mini Sports Day, Support Circle, and Kopi Sessions, which have brought parents closer together and strengthened our network. We’ve also partnered with Dads For Life to host their workshops, as well as led 5 Love Languages workshops, which I facilitate as a trained trainer through MOE and COMPASS. Each event has added so much value to the community, and the feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive. This ongoing experience has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute meaningfully to our school.
